Echo Valley Farm Cottage

Springbrook – Gold Coast Hinterland QLD Australia – Self-Contained Holiday Rental

Our holiday cottage is an ideal location to relax, kick back and enjoy the serenity. If you feel energetic you can explore the walking trails, or visit some or all of the local attractions.

Echo Valley Farm Cottage Springbrook holiday rentalStaying at Echo Valley Farm Cottage is an opportunity to enjoy being home away from home in peaceful surroundings. There’s local and farm grown produce, and a choice of local restaurants or cafes

There is nothing quite like driving up to a farm in the countryside and actually experiencing clean air. Working farms can be busy places during certain times of the year so don’t be surprised if you are left on your own.

Your farm stay holiday is an ideal time to escape the daily stress of your everyday lives. We hope that you have some great stories to take with you and even perhaps a goal to hunt out your local farmer’s market to purchase your fruit and vegetables from now on.

Maybe you’ll be inspired to add some chickens to your suburban back yard. Or perhaps you’ve been thinking about moving to a farm to raise your family.

Make some time to escape the city busy-ness and bring some books to read, or use this time away from distractions to reconnect with each other, or relax around the open fire with a bottle of our local wine.

Why A Farm Stay Holiday

When looking for a change from the usual motel or camping holiday, you may ask why you should consider a farm stay holiday.

Why A Farm Stay HolidayIf you have never been to a farm this is a great way to introduce your kids to farm animals and the way of life even if it is only for a weekend.

There’s something very special, almost magical about staying on a working farm, giving you a firsthand view of the farmers’ world.

Imagine waking up in the morning and looking out of your window across the paddocks and orchards of ripening fruit, visit the milking parlour or helping to feed the animals/collect the eggs etc and relax

Kids absolutely loved the farm animals, they could get a bucket of feed and go off around the enclosures and feed them

Indulge your senses with local food and wine.

Kiwi Fruit

We grow Kiwi fruit on our farm.kiwi fruit grown at echo vally farm, springbrook, farmstay holiday cottageThe kiwifruit, often shortened to kiwi has a fibrous, dull brown-green skin and bright green or golden flesh with rows of tiny, black, edible seeds.

The fruit has a soft texture and a unique flavour, and is great in icecream or as a dessert.

Kiwifruit is a rich source of vitamin C, and its potassium content by weight is slightly less than that of a banana. It also contains vitamin E, and a small amount of vitamin A.

Firm kiwifruit ripen after a few days to a week when stored at room temperature, but should not be kept in direct sunlight. Faster ripening occurs when placed in a paper bag with an apple, pear, or banana.
